Materials and selection of molds
Mold materials need to have high strength, high hardness and good wear resistance. Commonly used materials include mold steel, cemented carbide, etc. Mold steel has good toughness and machinability, and is suitable for processing molds with complex shapes.
Cemented carbide has high hardness and good wear resistance, but is relatively brittle. It is suitable for processing molds with simple shapes and high dimensional accuracy requirements, such as spinning wheels, core molds, etc.

Mold design needs to consider the shape, size and accuracy requirements of parts. According to the geometric shape and size of parts, a reasonable mold structure and size should be designed to ensure good fit between the mold and the workpiece.
Consider the strength and rigidity of the mold to avoid deformation and damage during processing, and also consider the processing technology and manufacturing cost of the mold.
Manufacturing and processing of molds
Mold manufacturing requires the use of high-precision processing equipment and processes, such as CNC machining centers, EDM, etc., to ensure the dimensional accuracy and shape accuracy of the mold. After processing, the mold needs to be heat treated to improve the hardness and strength of the mold.
Perform surface treatment on the mold, such as hard chrome plating, sand blasting, etc., to improve the wear resistance and corrosion resistance of the mold and extend the service life of the mold.
